Our Work

Our work is deeply rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on building partnerships (SDG 17) as the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. We believe that collaboration between communities, governments, NGOs, the private sector, and international partners is essential to addressing the pressing social, health, and environmental challenges of our time.

  • Health and Safety
Promoting wellness and preventive health measures, with an emphasis on mental health, occupational safety, and community well-being.
  • Environmental Stewardship
Raising awareness about climate change, sustainable resource use, and environmental health to protect both people and the planet.
  • Youth and Women Empowerment
Advocating for equal opportunities, leadership development, and safe spaces that enable young people and women to thrive.
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Aligning our programs with the global goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
  • Community-Based Solutions
Ensuring that the voices of local communities guide the design and implementation of initiatives that directly affect them.

Our Advocacy Work

At Leaders of Change Initiatives on Community Development (LCICD), advocacy is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that true transformation begins when communities are empowered with knowledge, voice, and collective action.

Our initiatives

Our initiatives are guided by the Global Goals, with a strong focus on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). We work to support healthier communities, promote mental wellness, and encourage environmental responsibility across all our programs.

We collaborate with schools, churches, ministries, community groups, and local partners to deliver workshops, outreach activities, youth leadership sessions, and wellness programs. Each initiative is designed to create safe, supportive spaces where people can learn, grow, and take action for themselves and their communities.

Through these efforts, we remain committed to strengthening well-being, building resilience, and encouraging sustainable practices that benefit both people and the planet.

  • Our Key Initiatives

We lead community programs that support mental well-being, youth development, and climate awareness, guided by SDG3 and SDG13.

  • Our SDG Commitments
    .

Our work aligns with the Global Goals, especially SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), promoting healthier communities and environmental responsibility.

Our community projects

We actively engage with communities to support youth development and mental well-being. Recently, we partnered with Family of God Ministry at the Lesotho Community Hall in Maqhaka for a Youth Leadership and Empowerment Initiative.

As mental health advocates, we appreciate the opportunity to connect with young people, encourage open conversations on mental health, and inspire a sense of hope and possibility.

This collaboration reminds us that meaningful partnerships and collective action are essential in creating safe, supportive spaces where young people can grow, lead, and thrive.
