Happy Earth Day! Today is a Day of Celebration and reflection on Our Planet’s precious resources and the importance of Protecting it for Future Generations. We are honored to join People around the world in promoting Sustainable Practices, Raising Awareness on Environmental Issues, and celebrating the wonders of Nature.

This Year’s Global Theme is #ourpowerourplanet, with an emphasis on Harnessing Renewable Energy to build a Healthy and Resilient Future for Communities. However in Our Organization, Our Theme this Year is “United For Change:A Day of Prayer and Environmental Action” with the goal of fostering Unity and promoting positive change. L.C.I.C.D Acknowledges the United Nations Calendar and follows the Spirit of Earth Day(April 22).

Our Organization has pivoted its focus this year to bring People together in Prayer and Reflection for the betterment of Lesotho and its Leadership. On the event day, a Series of Activities will be held, including a Welcoming Ceremony, Heartfelt Prayers, and Powerful Speeches by Representatives of various Churches and Organizations. Following the speeches, A Call to action will be issued, Urging Participants to reflect on their Individual role in creating a more Peaceful and Sustainable Future for Lesotho and Our Environment. To further reinforce Our Commitment to Environmental Stewardship, We plan to incorporate symbolic gestures as tangible manifestations of our dedication to the cause.

As Easter falls in the later weeks of April, we have decided to schedule our event for the first or second week of May. We have already sent out invitations to various Organizations & Churches . We are hopeful that everything will go smoothly for our Earth Day Celebration.🇱🇸
